…It’s NOT Raining on our parade! Don’t fear- a few clouds will not stop the fun from happening today. We are all at the park getting ready and looking forward to a great race. See you all very soon!
Rain or Shine- The Fed Cup is happening!
….Go! The Fed Cup is Tomorrow! Are you ready? We are! Here’s some final things to keep in mind to get you ready for the race.
Registration opens at 6:30 am. Race Day registration is $20, cash or checks only.
Entrance Information: Use Gate 1 (on Kipling between 6th ave and Alameda. This is the main entrance to the Denver Federal Center) The entry lane farthest to the RIGHT will be for FedCup5K participants. If you work on the DFC you can use the unmanned center lane and swipe your card. The left lane is for other Federal Center business, but will be available to handle any backup traffic if the other lanes get busy.
ALL passengers in a vehicle will need a Government ID or a Driver’s License to enter the DFC.
Sorry, but NO PETS are allowed on the DFC property. Please leave your dogs at home. (Service animals are the ONLY exception.)
Parking: Available at 2 locations- Just off Main Street near 5th Street; At Main Street and 3rd Street. Please refer to our “About The Race” section for parking and race course maps.
Chip Timing: Like last year, results for this race will rely upon chip timing. Please make sure you bring your Bib and Chip if you received them at the early distribution event. If you will be picking them up on race day with your Bib, remember to factor in some time to secure the Chip properly before the race. Be prepared to have your Chips removed by one of our volunteers at the end of the race. ALL Chips must be returned. There is a $30 fine for unreturned chips (And we’ll know who you are- the Chip is registered to your Bib number after all.)
Important: Please, please, please remember- Runners CAN walk, but Walkers CANNOT run during the race. Anyone registered as a walker who runs (even for a few steps) adversely affects the timing and award placement for the entire Walking group, and will be disqualified. If you anticipate alternating between running and walking during the race, you must be registered as a Runner.
See you tomorrow!!!
